My name is Nathan Hughes, and I’m the Nate Mendel of our band. I first picked up a bass when I was 16, and my love for the Foo Fighters ignited when my brother handed me a mix CD with "Learn to Fly" and "Low" on it. That was the beginning of my journey, starting with In Your Honor—an album I played so much it eventually wore out! I first crossed paths with Mark (our Dave Grohl) in our old Progressive Metal band, Lunix. We honed our craft together, but, as it happens, the band eventually parted ways. After Lunix, I joined Pylon Poets, where we've been writing, touring, and sharing our music with the world. You can find all our tracks on Spotify or your streaming platform of choice (my mum says we’re pretty good, so give us a listen!). Then came the call from Mark, asking if I wanted to get together and jam on some Foo Fighters songs. From that moment on, we've gone from strength to strength, refining our setlist and stage presence to deliver the ultimate Foo Fighters experience—second only to seeing the band themselves!
